Tesco Confirms iPhone Availability for December 14th

Although not a very big player at the moment, folks from Tesco Mobile (division of the value-minded department store with the same name) have massive expansion plans that will take UK’s mobile phone market by a storm. And as some of you regular TFTS readers already know Tesco is serious about getting a piece of the pie as they have officially announced to be carrying both the iPhone 3G and the iPhone 3GS to their customers, but failed to update on an actual release date.
Well, the wait is finally over and we can tell for sure that the British mobile carrier is to bring the iPhone 3G and the newest 3GS in stores, starting December 14th. On top of that it looks like they’re also sweetening the deal with some pretty interesting data plans to go with, offering 12 months of free Web & Wi-Fi browsing for their Pay as you go customers and one-year contract customers or for two years if you’re on a 24-month agreement.
Speaking of plans, the minimum pay is £20 a month (£60 of calls & text) that will get you the iPhone 3GS for £320, while the all you can eat £60 a month (with unlimited calls & text) will get you one for free.
Not a bad deal eh?
