ASUS Eee PC 1201N Pre-orders on Amazon Confirmed

Regular TFTS readers should already know that ASUS has announced that their Eee PC 1201N is the first Eee PC model to pack the new NVIDIA Ion platform. However, what you guys may not know by now is that the 12.1-inch netbook has become available for pre-order at online retailer Amazon, starting today, with a price going just shy of $500.
Keeping away from the average netbook out there, the new Eee PC 1201N is powered by a powerful 1.6GHz Intel Atom N330 dual core processor, has an NVIDIA ION (GeForce 9400M) chipset under the hood and runs Windows 7 Home Premium. Not enough? Well there’s also 3GB of RAM, 320 GB of storage space (and 500GB more of web-based storage), the regular Wi-Fi , Bluetooth and Ethernet connectivity.
And did we mention that the 3.21lbs netbook also features a 0.3 megapixel webcam a touchpad with multitouch gestures.
Supposedly shipping from Amazon’s warehouses around January 15th, the ASUS Eee PC 1201N features a six-cell battery (good for eight hours) and is available in black, blue and red.
