CrunchPad to be Presented on December 7 [Is the CrunchPad Still in the Making?]

We were disappointed to find out a few days ago that Michael Arrington’s CrunchPad has been postponed indefinitely due to the various irreconcilable issues he had with some of the partners involved in making the device. But is there any chance for the CrunchPad to still make it? Will we see the innovative device in stores at some point in the near future?
It looks like the gadget will be showcased both in a video call and in private briefings next week. Why would anyone do such a thing if the CrunchPad is doomed? Is anyone thinking about still making the tablet even if Michael Arrington said otherwise?
Chandrasekar “Chandra” Rathakrishnan, the founder and CEO of Fusion Garage, the partner involved in the actual making of the CrunchPad, is going to be the one to show you the device at the St. Regis Hotel in San Francisco.
Rathakrishnan wants “to be able to share his side of the story and he’s going to be showing the device very briefly as well,” according to Megan Alpers of McGrath/Power Public Relations.
According to TechCrunch, a few lawsuits are coming in the near future to settle the whole CrunchPad matter. Michael Arrington said:
We will almost certainly be filing multiple lawsuits against Fusion Garage, and possibly Chandra and his shareholders as individuals, shortly. The legal system will work it all out over time.
So there you have it, folks, a hot, promising device like the CrunchPad has died due to the problems that appeared between the TechCrunch team and Fusion Garage. It’s not our place to pass judgment on anything that happened and I’m sure the legal system will take care of everything in due time. But it’s definitely our job to be disappointed again about the sudden death of the CrunchPad project. What do you have to say about the whole CrunchPad deal?
