Motorola Droid Gets Multitouch Browsing [Dolphin Browser Brings Multitouch to the Droid]

That’s right, Droid owners, your prayers have been answered. Those of you waiting for Motorola or Google to bring multitouch Internet browsing to your Droid should wait no longer. But it’s not Motorola or Google to thank to! Multitouch browsing has been brought to you thanks to a little fish called Dolphin which means you can start enjoying that multitouch support right away.
You do know that the Droid comes with support for multitouch, don’t you? Sure it’s not enabled in the USA, but Milestone users (Droid’s other name) can take advantage of multitouch support in Europe and other regions of the world as we know it.
So what do you know, folks, if neither Moto nor Google want to enable multitouch then others will. It’s not yet known why the Droid comes without multitouch support. Some say that Apple’s multitouch patents are to blame while others claim that it’s Android 2.0 to blame.
But the Dolphin Browser doesn’t really care about all that. The application is available in the Android Market and considering the fact that it comes free of charge you should have it installed on the Droid right away. And the app is going to get you all the multitouch you need.
The browser comes with support for multiple tabs which should help you manage your windows a lot easier than by simply using a default browser.
So what do you say folks? Are you ready to zoom in and zoom out on your Droid using that very well known pinching move. For now the Dolphin way is the only way. You’ll have to wait until Google or Motorola bring that official multitouch support to the Droid in the USA. Or simply choose to move to other parts of the world and get the Milestone which can already do multitouch without the absolute necessity of Dolphin on board.
