Asus have unveiled their first Eee PC netbook to come without an Intel processor under the hood in the form of the 1.6GHz AMD Athlon Neo powered 12.1” (1366 x 768 resolution) Eee PC 1201T which, aside from moving away from Intel’s Atom CPU, offers up the same specifications as the Asus Eee PC 1201HA.

Those who are familiar with the Eee PC 1201HA will, therefore, know what’s on offer concerning the newly unveiled Eee PC 1201T, but for those who’re in the dark you’re looking at a 320GB hard disk, Ethernet port and integrated WiFi, VGA port and 3 USB 2.0 ports along with a 6-cell battery purportedly offering up to four hours of endurance based on a full charge.

There’s no word, as yet, concerning which OS the Eee PC 1201T will run, but its safe to assume it’ll be Win 7 and, whilst there’s also no word concerning availability or expected pricing, we can confirm that the Eee PC 1201T will be offered with 2GB of cloud base storage bundled in allowing for the remote storing of files.
