Tweetie 21 for iPhone & iPod Touch

What is widely recognised as being one of the most accomplished Twitter Apps for both the iPhone and the iPod Touch, namely Tweetie, has now been updated to Tweetie 2.1 with the updated seeing the implementation of Twitter’s new retweeting feature, geotagging and Twitter lists support along with a whole host of additional enhancements.

Along with the above mentioned new functionalities, Loren Brichter’s Tweetie 2.1 app for the iPhone and iPod Touch also allows you to report spam directly from within the app itself as well as tweet stream gap detection – which basically allows you to clearly distinguish between new tweets and older tweets send prior to you taking a break in your Twittering (to live life for a while, perhaps?).

Of course the new iteration of Tweetie also comes with bug fixes which sees issues users reported with Tweetie 2.0 – such as old updates appearing over and over and old Tweets being resent – now fixed.

Tweetie 2.1 is available now from Apple’s app Store and, if you already own Tweetie 2.0, the good news is that it’s a free upgrade.
