BlackBerry Bold 9700 Available for $229.99 in Canada [$50 Gift Card Included; 3-YR Contract from Bell Still Applies]

Well look what the cat dragged in! A cheaper BlackBerry Bold 9700 seems to be available in Canada. The deal is coming from none other than Best Buy Canada and the giant electronics retailer is even throwing in a $50 gift card.
Does that sound like something you’d be up for? As you expect there are strings attached. RIM’s latest smartphone is available for $229.29 from Best Buy only if you’re willing to go for a new 3-year contract from Bell. Sure three years sounds like a lot but the BlackBerry Bold 9700 deserves such consideration.
It’s not like I haven’t gone through the specs and features of the Bold 9700 for you before but I might as well remind you why you can grow to love this beast:
- Dimensions: 109 mm x 60 mm x 14.1 mm
- Weight: 122 grams
- 2.44-inch light-sensing display
- Full QWERTY keyboard
- Touch-sensitive trackpad
- Built-in Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g)
- 3.2-megapixel camera with variable zoom, autofocus, flash and video recording
- BlackBerry® OS 5.0
- Built-in GPS
- 3.5 mm stereo headset jack
- Up to 15 hours standby time
- Up to 360 minutes talk time
- 256MB internal flash memory, expandable memory up to 32GB
- Bluetooth 2.0
I know that there’s a chance Bell isn’t your favorite carrier in the whole wide… Canada, but the deal is only valid with a Bell new plan. Naturally, if you’re up for it you can simply select a BlackBerry Bold 9700 from Rogers. Just a little while ago we told you how Rogers is selling the BlackBerry Bold 9700 for $300 with a 3-year contract. Well strike that from your memory, folks! It looks like Rogers is also willing to sell the device for a lot less. The smartphone is available for $249.99 with a new 3-year contract.
It looks like good things come to those who wait. So what will you choose? Best Buy’s $229.99 Bold 9700 or Rogers $249.99 BlackBerry deal?
So what if I tell you that Telus also sells the BlackBerry Bold 9700 for $249.99? The deal is available from Best Buy Canada too!
