LG have announced a new, special edition of their LG BL40 Chocolate phone designed, as its name would suggest, to celebrate the holiday season, in the form of the LG BL40 Chocolate Christmas Edition which, you guessed it, is primed for pre-Christmas release.

The LG BL40 Chocolate Christmas Edition, aside from being an all too transparent means of boosting sales during the silly season, in fairness does offer more than just a aesthetic overhaul – we say overhaul, it comes in black with golden accents – in that it offers up an 8 megapixel camera instead of the 5 megapixel camera found on the vanilla LG BL40 Chocolate. Aside from this, specs and features seemingly remain unchanged.

And as if this isn’t enough of an incentive to get customers in Korea to part with their Won – and, lets be honest, it probably isn’t – the LG BL40 Chocolate Christmas Edition also comes bundled with a ticket that could see purchasers up for a 5M WON prize, which is nice (this equates to around $4,000, incidentally, so one would argue it isn’t quite worth jetting over there to get the handset just in case you’re the winner).

Set, seemingly, for the Korean market only, the LG BL40 Chocolate Christmas Edition will be made available from 10^th December though, at this juncture, we can’t nail down what its going to cost.
