BMW Vision EfficientDynamics Concept Debuts in LA [Vision EfficientDynamics Vehicle Unveiled at Los Angeles Auto Show]

BMW Vision EfficientDynamics Concept 1

We’re interrupting our Black Friday coverage for today, to tell you guys that the Los Angeles Auto Show is in full swing, so if you’re in LA this weekend, you can pay it a visit. More to it, you should pay it a visit if you’re a BMW fan, as the German car manufacturer has got everyone’s attention by unveiling a bunch of four wheelers that include the ActiveHybrid X6, the ActiveHybrid 7-Series, and the Vision EfficientDynamics concept.

Speaking of the mind blowing BMW Vision EfficientDynamics concept, it’s supposedly the perfect mix between performance and state of the art hybrid technology. Powered by a three-cylinder turbodiesel engine and one electric motor on each axle, the futuristic coupe manages to output a massive 262 kW (356 hp) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque, which helps it pelt from naught to 62mph (100km/h) in nothing less than 4.8 seconds — amazingly fast for a hybrid, on its way to an electronically limited speed of 155mph.

Although powerful, the BMW Vision EfficientDynamics is actually a “green” vehicle that (on average) uses 3.73 liters of fuel for every 100km — which translates to 62.6 mpg, and emits a very low 99 grams of CO2/km.

No word if this beauty will ever make it to the production line, but we’re definitely in line for a test drive if anyone from BMW cares!
