Samsung bada SDK Coming Out December 8

We were among the first to tell you that Samsung has been working on a mobile platform of its own. Called the bada, the new mobile OS is an open platform which will power up future Samsung handsets.
Will the bada be able to successfully claim a top spot in the mobile business? That remains to be seen especially as the smartphone business is currently dominated by iPhone OS, Android and Blackberry OS. What we do know is that Samsung’s OS is coming next month just as previously expected. And now we have an official date for the London event in which the cell phone manufacturer will reveal bada in its entire splendor.
Samsung has sent out an invitation today for the bada event that will take place in London on December 8. At said event Samsung is expected to unveil bada and the bada SDK. Dr. Hosco Lee, EVP and head of the Media Solution Center at Samsung Electronics will be in charge of the show. After the London presentation a similar show is expected to take place in San Francisco.
Anyone excited about Samsung becoming a more important player in the mobile business? Here’s what the invitation tells us about bada:
For the first time millions of new app enabled Samsung devices will be coming into the market and you could be the first to see how bada is making this possible. You will also have the chance to hear the story behind the development of bada (meaning ‘ocean’ in Korean), and what it will mean for Samsung’s mobile strategy and the future of mobile content from Dr, Hosco Lee, EVP and head of Media Solution Center (MSC) in Samsung’s Electronics.

The event will take place at Vinopolis (Stoney St. entrance), 1Bank End, London SE1 9BU, but you will need the invitation above to get it.
