iRiver Story e-Book Reader Confirmed for UK

iRiver are doing everything they can to gain more market share, hence why the company has just announced that their new e-book reader,the QWERTY keyboard touting iRiver Story, has now become available in the UK. Following to a debut in the Asian market last month, the iRiver Story is “stepping up to challenge Sony’s version and Amazon’s new Kindle”.

Available without a touchscreen, 3G or Wi-Fi connectivity (only optional), the new iRiver Story has a 6-inch e-ink 600 x 800 display which has become common these days, supports standard text files (epub, pdf and txt), office documents (doc, ppt and xls), plays audio (MP3, WMA and OGG) and previews image (jpeg, bmp and gif) files in greyscale. On top of that, it comes with 2GB of RAM on board, an SD card slot to expand up to 32GB, an USB 2.0 slot to load content from your computer and support for 15 different languages.
Offered in a matte white with a powerful battery that allows up to 7000 page turns on one battery charge, the new iRiver Story is available right now for a good £230.
