Cignais MusicNAO iPod Dock Released

Cignais, a Canadian company that manufatures wireless speakers for iPods and Blackberries, has a new application and speaker setup which allows you to wirelessly play music on the speaker. MusicNAO works by WiFi and Bluetooth, and works through an app purchased on the iTunes store.
The base speaker itself is nothing special, a typical 40-watt speaker with 4 inch speakers, but the real feature here is the wireless networking abilities that let it connect with an iPhone or BlackBerry. With the proper software, you can stream music to the speaker wirelessly from your iPhone or iPod Touch.
If you have a conventional iPod (Nano or Classic), you can dock it up with the speaker, and then use your iPod Touch as a remote control, picking the track, setting the volume, etc. The control commands are sent via a local WiFi connections, where the music is streamed through Bluetooth with the Apple products (BlackBerry streams music through WiFi).
An interesting device, for sure. The MusicNAO is shipping on December 1st. Pre-order now, and you get a $50 discount off the $300 regular price.
