New York Times Netbook Deal for Times Reader Subscriptions [NYT Netbook Deal: Samsung N310 'Go' Netbook $100 Discount]

We’re used to phone networks offering up deals on netbooks in a bid to secure your custom, but now none other than the New York Times are getting in on the action in offering a discounted price for a Samsung netbook in return for you singing up to the digital edition of the NYT via their Times Reader 2.0 for a year.

The deal, which sees the Samsung N310 ‘Go’ Netbook’s price slashed by $100 would usually go for around some $420 but, thanks to J&J, who have teamed up with the New York Times to offer the N310 already discounting it to some $380 once you apply the NYT discount you’re looking at having to fork out just $279.99 – though, of course, you’ll also have to factor in a year’s subscription to the Times Reader software which comes in at $179.40 (for the year).
“Offering Times Reader with the Samsung Go makes it possible to enjoy our next generation news reader application on a sleek, premium netbook,” Yasmin Namini, New York Times senior vice president/marketing and circulation, said in a statement. “This is a great value for consumers, especially with the holiday season approaching.”
