Sony Vaio X Notebook Running Mac OS X [Hacking a Vaio X to Run OS X, Lacks Wi-Fi But Looks Cool]

Mac Vaio X running OS X

Although Sony has done a great job with their new Vaio X notebook in terms of design and performance, some would say with Windows running the show, it lacks a “real” operating system. Hence why InsanelyMac forum member Asama has decided to install Mac OS X onto Sony’s “slim and elegant” machine, but with a few complications.

Although not a flawless operation, the guy used his Vaio P image of OS X and managed to hack the lightweight and portable Vaio X to run Apple’s “reliable” OS. Speaking of installation issues, (as many would’ve expected it) looks like there are no drivers for the motherboard’s Wi-Fi adapter hence why you won’t be able to wirelessly connect to the Internet at Starbucks, but at least you will get to brag with your non-Mac machine, actually running OS X.

Asama didn’t mention if it helps boost your productivity, but at least it looks cool. Now we’re waiting to get our hands on a Dell Adamo XPS running Apple, as well. How about you?

yeah right there’s no doubt the vaio is a great machine but it’ssue of not having a real OS is not fancing at all because getting new software that’s compatible to it’s hardware would turn out to be a very bad thing to correct.
