Nokia 6700 Slide Specifications & Pricing Confirmed

Having only just covered the newly unveiled Nokia 7230 we move swiftly on to another new Nokia phone in the form of the Nokia 6700 Slide which falls very much into the camera phone category on account of boasting a 5 megapixel camera with dual LED flash offering stills and movie (MPEG-4 VGA at 15fps) capture.

The 3G Nokia 6700 Slide is set to become available in a ‘choice of six fresh and vivid colors’, namely pink, red, petrol blue, aluminum, lime and purple, and apart fromm its 5 megapixel camera (which employs Carl Zeiss optics, incidentally), comes with a 2.2” 240 x 320 resolution 16M color TFT display, 45MB of integrated storage capacity which can be supplemented with a microSD card up to a maximum of 16GB (the word on the street is that the Nokia 6700 Slide will come bundled with a 2GB microSD card, but this is unconfirmed as yet) and, of course, you can also factor in a an integrated multimedia player offering MP3/WMA/WAV/RA/AAC/M4A audio and WMV/RV/MP4/3GP video file format support. Flash Lite 3.0 is also supported and, yes, there’s also a built-in FM radio.
Running Symbian OS v9.3, S60 rel. 3.2, the 3G Nokia 6700 Slide, which offers up to 250 hours standby (3G), up to 3 hours talkime (3G) or up to 29 hours of music playback, is set to hit retail in the first quarter of 2010 and will carry a price tag of some EU^160 not allowing for taxes or subsidies.
