Limited Edition Star Wars Wii Console Gains Fleeting Ebay Listing

If the new limited edition black Wii console doesn’t quite do it for you, and you’re not Her Majesty (so you don’t already have a Gold Wii) then you may have been interested in an Ebay listing that offered up a limited edition Stars Wars Wii though the item has now been removed, fuelling rumours that it was/ is bogus anyhow.
Apparently one of only four Star Wars Wii consoles to ever see the light of day, the previously listed Ebay Wii console was, according to the seller, used to promote the then up and coming LucasArt’s doftware title The Force Unleashed and, aside from sporting an image of Darth Vader one one side (the other side was never shown in the ad, which is pretty telling) the item was also listed as coming with a couple of balck WiiMotes and a black sensor bar as well as integrated red LED lighting around the disc slot (instead of the more usual blue).
The listing, which, just to reiterate, has now been removed, read thus:
Originally designed and built to promote the release of LucasArts “Unleash the Force” game, on the Wii in Spring 2008. Only 4 of these were produced. I have 2, and will be selling this one to one lucky buyer before Christmas.
The price of this ‘Limited Edition Star Wars Wii’? A Cool $15,000 (gulp).
