O2 HTC HD2 Now Available in Stores [O2 Release HTC HD2 (O2’s First HTC Phone) - Yours Free on O2 Pay Monthly Plan]

Having only earlier today covered the rumour that the HTC HD2 is to receive a free upgrade to Windows Mobile 7 when the new WinMo OS becomes available from next year, we can also offer our UK based readers a heads up should they be looking to get their hands on the much hyped smartphone, as O2 have not only made the HTC HD2 available today, but they are offering it for ‘free’ should you commit to an O2 monthly plan.
“The HTC HD2 is the first HTC branded phone to be sold on O2. We love the large screen and combination of Windows Mobile 6.5 with HTC Sense,” said Steve Alder, General Manager Devices for O2 in the UK. “We are proud to be the home of smartphones and the HTC HD2 adds a new dimension to the range of devices we offer to our customers.”

Billed as being available in store and over the phone – there’s no mention of the HD2 being offered on line and, certainly as at the time of writing, there’s no evidence of it being listed as available online either – the O2 HTC HD2 is being offered for free should you commit to an three year plan that’ll set you pack some £45 per month.
