BlackBerry Bold 9700 Available in Australia Starting Tomorrow

Starting tomorrow, November 24, customers Down Under will be able to buy a brand new BlackBerry Bold 9700. RIM’s next-gen Bold phone will probably be as popular as its predecessor. More and more customers around the world will be able to buy it and now it’s Australia’s turn to get it.
Ross Fielding, Telstra’s Product Management Executive Director, had this to say about the phone:
Lighter and more powerful, the new Blackberry 9700 has a full keyboard and push email service which will help customers stay connected to their email, office calendar and the mobile internet. Teamed with Telstra’s Next G™ network it provides outstanding smartphone performance in more places.
Is that enough to convince you to buy one? The phone will be available bundled with various plans including:
- A range of Telstra Enterprise & Government Enterprise Fleet Plans
- Telstra Business plans, starting at $0 with a new $85 Mobile PLUS from December 1
- Telstra consumer customerscan purchase the device for $999 or a MRO over 24 months.
The prices presented above are, of course, in Australian Dollars, just in case you were wondering about those unusual prices. We covered the BlackBerry Bold 9700 extensively on TFTS but let’s take another look at its specs and features:
