Verizon Wireless have officially announced the immediate availability of a new ultra durable phone in their line-up in the form of the Casio G’zOne Rock – pronounced Jeez_wun, incidentally, in case you were wondering – which conforms to military standards in terms of durability (specifically MIL-STD-810F) whilst offering a host of features aimed to appeal to the outdoors type.

Billed as being the perfect phone for those with active lifestyles, the Verizon Casio G’zOne Rock, aside from its ruggedness, offers up an Earth Compass, Walking Counter, Thermometer, Astro Calendar and Sunrise Sunset and Tides thanks to its ‘Triple Sensor technology’ whilst also boasting Push to Talk capabilities harnessing Verizon’s 3G network.

The Verizon Casio G’zOne Rock, as you might imagine having taken in the above, isn’t coming cheap, however, with the phone being offered on a two year plan for $200 – and that’s after a $50 mail-in rebate.
