Whilst I’m less then enamoured with the iPhone’s camera and the quality of its imagery, if you regularly use your iPhone 3G/3GS’s camera and you hanker after a little more reach, you may be interested in this zoom lens developed specifically for the iPhone 3G/3GS which offers up to 8x zoom.

Adding to the other iPhone camera related gadgetry we’re already featured here on the site such as the ZGrip iPhone Pro (which needs to be seen to be believed, trust me), the somewhat more grounded Blur iPhone Tripod and Bando’s own 6x zoom lens, the Princeton iPhone iZoom 8x Optical Zoom Lens comes complete with a case that allows for the lens to be attached to the iPhone and that’s pretty much about your lot. It really is a case of what you see is what you get.

We cannot vouch for its optical quality, but we suspect its nothing to write home about, but then this is hardly going to appeal to anyone who wants anything more than to lark around for a few minutes before getting bored and, quite probably, consigning this to the back of a draw never to be used again.

There’s no word at this juncture concerning pricing, but, really, do we care? No, I thought not.
