If you’re looking for a sizable laptop that offers portability whilst happily serving as a desktop replacement and you fancy getting in on a little mulittouch action then Dell hope that their new Studio 17 multitouch touting laptop will prove tempting enough to part you with your hard earned cash.

Boasting a 17.3” mulittouch touchscreen display, the new Dell Studio 17 comes with a broad choice of CPUs ranging from a 2.1GHz Intel Pentium Dual Core T4300 through to a 2.8GHz Core 2 Duo T9600, from 4GB of DDR2 memory (a maximum of 8GB being offered via the customisation page), a choice of hard disks ranging from 500GB to dual 500GB HDDs whilst, in terms of GPU, you have the choice between integrated 4500MHD GPU, a 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 or a 1GB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650. Additional options include a BD writer or BD Burner and upgraded soundcard.
Running Windows 7 Home Premium, the new Dell Studio 17 can be ordered now directly via Dell’s online shop and, in terms of pricing, as mentioned above, starts at just shy of $900 for the base model (if you’re looking to max out the optional extras needless to say you’ll need a good few extra notes in your wallet going spare).
