Imation SSD Upgrade Kit Offers All-in-One Solution for HDD to SSD Swap Outs

Imation M-Class SSD Upgrade Kits

Imation are now shipping their M-Class SSD Upgrade Kits which is aimed specifically at users looking for an all-in-one SSD upgrade solution for those wishing to swap out their HHDs for SSDs with the minimum of fuss.

The Imation M-Class SSD Upgrade Kits, which centre around Imation’s newer M-Class 2.5” and 3.5” SSDs offering sequential read/write speeds of 150MB/s and 90MB/s respectively, come complete with the required SATA connector and cables and drive imaging software – the latter facilitating the copying (or, rather, the imaging) of the outgoing HDD prior to swapping it out for the new SSDs – all in one convenient single bundle.

Imation’s M-Class SSD Upgrade Kits are available offering both 2.5” and 3.5” SSD drives in 64GB and 128GB capacities and whilst, based on Imation’s own published figures, the performance on offer is hardly stellar (interestingly various sites are misreporting these speeds somewhat, to say the least) there’s no doubt that many will find Imation’s all-in-one SSD upgrade kits a particularly tempting proposition. This is not least the case as Imation’s M-Class SSD Upgrade Kits are extremely keenly and impressively priced – you’re looking at around $110 and $195 for the 64GB and 128GB 2.4” SSD kits, for example.

Pricing aside, however, those looking for pure performance will undoubtedly see themselves looking elsewhere at, say, the offerings from the likes of OCZ.
