Telus Announces Officially the BlackBerry Storm2 [Storm2 Available for $199.99 with a 3-YR Contract]

The BlackBerry Storm2 is probably one of the best phones available at this time but unfortunately for RIM the Motorola Droid/Milestone is getting all the attention. The Storm2 is a great smartphone and it’s certainly a better version of the first Storm launched last year by RIM.

After we’ve seen Verizon launch the phone in the USA, it’s time now for Telus to make the Storm2 available to Canadian customers. And we have all the prices for you as Telus is willing to sell the phone both with a new contract and off contract. The cheapest Storm2 costs $199.99 if purchased with a new 3-year contract of at least $50 per month or greater. This offer is available until December 31 so you’ll have to hurry to get it.

In case you want to choose a 2-year or a 1-year contract then the Storm2 will be a lot more expensive at $499.99 or $549.99, respectively. Sure you’ll say that buying a phone with a 1-year contract is actually cheaper on the long run than buying it with a 3-year contract and you’d be right. But are you willing to pay $549.99 right now? In case you are, then maybe a contract free BlackBerry Storm2 sounds a lot better as you’ll have to pay only $50 on top of that 1-year contract price for a total of $599.99.
