Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 Not Getting Windows Mobile 6.5

By now we already know all there is to know about the new Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 smartphone, including the full specs and features, but it looks like what we had hoped for, a Windows Mobile 6.5 upgrade, will not be offered as today, the company has confirmed that they’re not going to bring any officially update to give you WinMo 6.5 on your X1.
Although various rumors so far have left room for speculation regarding the availability of Windows Mobile 6.5 for the Xperia X1 — with one developer in particular laying his eyes on a ROM which indicated an official update was planned, it looks like you’ll have to find an unofficial way to put it at your on your handset. Of course it’s doable, but think twice before you bring that cooked ROM from Xda-developers, as Sony Ericsson will not offer any kind support to those who did it and accidentally broke their smartphone.
It’s not nice to see that the company is not longer interested in upgrading their older handset, but we’ll have to live with it that way for now.
