Motorola Droid Autofocus Issues: Possible Fix [Droid Autofocus Issues Fixed by 'a Good Lens Clean'?]

Motorola Droid Autofocus Fix Image

Whilst user feedback concerning the Motorola Droid is, on the whole, pretty positive wide ranging reports from end users have highlighted issues with the Droid’s camera, particularly relating to the Droid experiencing autofucus issues. But now one Droid owner appears to have stumbled upon a simple fix that appears, according to feedback, to be solving most user’s autofocus issues – that fix being just to give the Droid’s camera lens a good clean.

“This works and sounds crazy,” writes ‘Cereal Killer’, a member of the Droidforums.net. “I just read that if you clean the camera lens really good with a soft cloth you will get the green focus. I’ll give anything a try so I did it. My camera now focus’s all the time. Green focus on all my shots.” He adds, “Supposedly there is a little bit of oily film over the lens and when wiped clean it fixes the issue. Give it a shot and report here. I can tell you it worked lol…4 shots, all green….”

Sounds too good to be true? Apparently not, as users have been reporting back stating that, following a ‘good clean’ of the Droid’s camera lens their autofocus issues have been resolved. “I thought I did this already, but when I added a little water to the equation to wipe away anything possibly on it, it F’ing worked,” responds one user whilst another adds, “I just cleaned mine and I got 6 for 6 green shots great find.”

So, if you happen to own a Droid, and you’re experiencing autofocus issues, you may want to try cleaning the lens to see if this resolves the issue. If it does, do report back.
