At only 0.4-inch thick, Dell’s Adamo XPS is not only the world’s thinnest notebook but a real competitor to Apple’s MacBook Air. Officially unveiled some time ago, we know almost everything regarding specs and features of the new Adamo XPS, and have heard rumors that the stylish ultraportable is meant to ship just in time for Christmas, but without knowing any exact days. Everything until today when we caught wind that Dell is all set to deliver the laptops to their customers starting from December 22nd.
An interesting machine to say the least, the new Dell Adamo XPS first saw daylight four month ago in a highly attractive teasing campaign that got us drooling. The 9.99mm thin beast comes packed with a 13.4-inch high-definition WXGA LED backlit 720p display, allows you to choose between the 1.4GHz or the 1.9GHz Intel dual-core ULV processors, delivers integrated X4500MHD graphics, either an 128GB or 180GB SSD, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, has Wi-Fi (802.11n) connectivity and runs Microsoft’s new Windows 7.
Weighing just over 3 pounds and featuring a hinged mechanism that when opened, the body of the Adamo XPS is raised so the keyboard is angled to enhance cooling, we’re definitely looking at a great seller in here. Don’t you think?
