AT&T Samsung GO 3G Netbook Release Date Confirmed

AT&T Samsung GO Available Sunday, Will Retail at Under $200

AT&T Samsung GO 3G Netbook

AT&T have just announced that they will be offering the 3G enabled Samsung GO netbook, which will take advantage of AT&T’s 3G network in terms of connectivity, from this Sunday (22nd November 2009).

Set to join the likes of the Lenovo S10 netbook, which is already offered by AT&T, the 1.6GHz Atom N270 powered Samsung GO 3G Netbook sports a 10.1” 1024 x 600 resolution LED-backlit borderless (scratch resistant) display, 1GB RAM, a 160GB hard drive, a 1.3 megapixel integrated webcam and as well as offering 3G wireless connectivity also boasts Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR.

Interestingly, whilst the Samsung GO netbook has previously been made available running Windows XP OS, the AT&T Samsung GO will run Windows 7 (albeit just the starter edition).

The AT&T Samsung GO is set to become available from November 22nd, as stated above, though, as yet, AT&T have offered little in the way of pricing information though we would expect it to roughly fall into the $60 per month bracket for a two year contract (nbased on their other netbook offerings).

Samsung Announces the Upcoming Availability of the Samsung Go with AT&T

Samsung today announced the upcoming availability of the Samsung Go™, a compact and lightweight netbook with instant access to broadband speeds powered by the nation’s fastest 3G network and the Microsoft Windows 7 Starter Edition operating system.

The Samsung Go, weighing just 2.8 lbs., is a portable powerhouse that can easily be stored in a briefcase or travel bag. The Go’s midnight blue color and slim, soft texture design with rounded edges makes a statement and stands out from the crowd. The pebble-style keyboard makes typing comfortable with larger than average spacing. The brilliant LED-backlit, borderless glass display is scratch resistant and provides users with photo-like image quality, greater viewing angles and better text legibility, reducing eye strain and boosting productivity.

Equipped with a standard 4-cell 4000Ah battery, users can stay connected for up to 4 hours on a single battery charge and the built-in Intel Atom processor delivers the power and performance needed for full Internet capabilities anytime, anywhere.

The Go will be available beginning Nov. 22 through AT&T retail locations or online at www.att.com/netbooks.
