Palm Pre to Debut in Mexico on Telcel

With the Samsung Behold II, the Nokia N900 or the Palm Pixi at $30 on Walmart making the rounds on the Internet today, it looks like there’s a new smartphone looking for attention. We’re talking about the new Palm Pre that is going to make its way to Mexico’s carrier Telcel, with a release date set for this month on November 27th.
The second webOS-powered handset that is compatible with GSM networks, after O2′s device in the UK and several other countries in Europe, the new Palm Pre is going to pack a 3.1-inch touchscreen display that does 320×480 resolutions, a built-in GPS sensor and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. On top of that, Telus’ Palm Pre will also get a 3-megapixel camera with LED flash, 8GB of built-in memory, a 3.5mm audio jack, an accelerometer, Bluetooth 2.1 EDR with A2DP support and Wi-Fi radios.
There’s no word how much the new Palm Pre is going to cost in Mexico, but we’re pretty sure it’s not going to be available for much more than its US counterpart.
