Motorola MT710 OPhone Announced for a China Mobile Debut [MT710 OPhone with 3.7" Touchscreen, Wi-Fi & TD-SCDMA Support]

Motorola MT710 OPhone

Although busy promoting and selling their flagship Droid handset in the US, Motorola is not neglecting other important markets either as today we just learned that the telecom giant has announced that the new Motorola MT710 — their first OPhone mobile so far, will debut soon on China Mobile.

For those who don’t know it, the new Motorola MT710 OPhone runs on China’s open mobile operating system based on Google’s Android. It features a 3.7-inch touchscreen (multi-touch actually) with WVGA (845 x 480) resolution, has Wi-Fi connectivity, 3G support for the local TD-SCDMA network along with CMMB support for China’s mobile TV.

Rumors have it that Motorola is going to introduce up to seven new Android models in China in 2010, but for now the Chinese market will have to settle with the yummy-looking Motorola MT710 OPhone. Too bad there’s no official word regarding price or availability, but since the MT710 is some sort of an iPhone competitor, we’ll have to assume they’ll attach a more than reasonable price tag to it.
