Dell has announced today three new printers, the 5130cdn, the 7130cdn and the 3330dn. Out of those three the Dell 5130cdn seems to stand out as the world’s fastest single function letter-size color printer available to date. But let’s look at each of them before we draw any conclusions.

The Dell 5130cdn will offer you amazing printing speeds. It can print either 47 single-sided or 37 double-sided letter pages per minute in mono or color. The printer comes with Dell’s ColorbyDell, a technology that’s supposed to deliver excellent color saturation and image sharpness. You will be pleased to know that the 5130cdn will offer you a low cost per page of only 1.04c for black and white and 7.71c for color prints. Another useful feature meant to cut down costs when it comes to printing and toner is Dell’s ColorTrack Pro, a built-in remote administration tool that will let your IT department monitor your 5130cdn printers and their parameters. The printer will sell for $1,549 which is not a bad price for the world’s fastest color laser printer out there.

The Dell 7130cdn is a LED-based color printer which is Dell’s first such office device. The 7130cdn will let you print up to tabloid-size high quality prints which is certainly impressive. The printer is very fast and it will deliver the first printed page out in 6.5 seconds for both mono and color. All those features are going to cost you at the end of the day as the 7130cdn is priced at $2,799.

The Dell 3330dn is a single-function black and white performance printer which will print up to 40 letter pages per minute and offer you a monthly duty cycle of up to 80,000 pages. The printer can be upgraded if needed when it comes to paper drawer and memory. It costs only $599 and it will definitely meet the needs of your business environment.
