Bang & Olufsen Announces BeoVision 7

Bang & Olufsen is back again with one more impressive HDTV. This time we’re talking about the BeoVision 7, a 55-inch LCD HDTV which is ready to be crowned as king of your living room this winter. Unfortunately for most budgets the BeoVision 7 is not something you will afford anytime soon but at least it’s good to know it exists.
The BeoVision 7 is a 55-inch LCD HDTV which comes with features like LED-backlight and local dimming ready to offer you greater contrast. Inside the BeoVision 7-55 you’ll find the Bang & Olufsen’s BeoSystem 3 video engine which is supposed to offer you “superior signal processing” due to the VisionClear technology. Features like the double frame rate technology also known as 120Hz, motion compensation and progressive scanning backlight will reduce occasional blur and deliver outstanding fast-moving scenes. Your movie or sports watching experience is definitely going to be improved with such technologies in place.
Sophisticated digital surround sound and Blu-ray player support complete the specs list and they surely contribute to that higher price tag we were talking about.
Here’s how Zean Nielsen, President of Bang & Olufsen America presents the BeoVision 7-55:
BeoVision 7-55 is the cornerstone in the intelligent home as it is a fantastic hub for combining audio and video experiences with other home automation systems. For many customers, home automation is becoming more and more interesting, and due to increasingly sophisticated interfaces, Bang & Olufsen customers can actually control and operate all their A/V and home automation equipment from the programmable Beo5 remote control all over the house.
The BeoVision 7-55 has been designed for floor placement and it offers two motorized floor stand options, but there’s also support for wall mount placement. With the motorized solution in place you’ll be able to turn the TV and the center loudspeaker and tilt the display to face the viewer. That’s where the remote comes in to make everything easier for you.
The BeoVision will be available by mid to late November and it will be priced at $18,700.
