The ultraportable market is still going strong forcing manufacturers to come up with newer and newer models, most of them running the new Windows 7. Speaking of which, do you remember the Lenovo IdeaPad U150 that has been officially unveiled about two weeks ago? We didn’t know much about price and availability until today, when we caught wind that the company have announced that the 11.6″ ultraportable starts selling today.

As expected the new Lenovo IdeaPad U150 has a base model that features an 11.6-inch LED-backlit glossy display (1366 x 768 pixels), a dual-core Pentium SU4100 (1.3GHz) CULV processor, 3GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive and Wi-Fi connectivity (802.11 b/g). It runs Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS, features Intel’s GMA X4500 graphics and a 6-cell battery, all these packed in a 3 pound and 0.75-inch thick casing that starts selling from $699.

As for the more advanced model, it runs on a 1.3 GHz Core 2 Duo (dual-core) SU7300 processor, has 4GB of RAM, 320GB of storage and N Wi-Fi, all for a starting price of $849.

Sales begin today, but the new Lenovo IdeaPad U150 won’t reach your doorstep in less than 16 days, but the wait may be worth it considering the build quality. No?
