The product in the picture here is about as real as it gets. It’s a mouse officially unveiled in Italy called the OpenOfficeMouse. Yes, that’s a more than strange name for a mouse but the device is meant to work with OpenOffice.org, that free software solution that helps you manage all sorts of documents.
And apparently a mouse designed specifically for OpenOffice.org requires a lot of unpleasant buttons in order to work properly. The mouse features 18 buttons and an analog joystick which will offer you support for up to 52 key commands. The OpenOfficeMouse is meant to help you deal with OpenOffice programs a lot more efficiently than before.
The OpenOfficeMouse comes with default profiles for five core OpenOffice.org applications which can be customized in order to meet your various needs. Besides support for OpenOffice.org the mouse comes with support for 20 other games and applications. The mouse comes with a memory ready to store 63 profiles which means that you can truly customize it in any way you see fit.
Here’s a full list of specs of the OpenOfficeMouse which could convince you that getting one is not such a bad idea:

- Three different button modes: Key, Keypress, and Macro
- Analog Xbox 360-style joystick with optional 4, 8, and 16-key command modes
