Verizon Store to Open Doors at Midnight and Sell the Motorola Droid For Two Hours

Most of you know that the new Motorola Droid is expected to be launched on Verizon tomorrow with most of 2,000 Communication Stores opening doors as early as 7-8AM. What you probably don’t know is that Big Red is going to make whatever they can to make the launch as special as possible, as we caught wind that in a last-minute update the flagship store on 34th Street in New York City will open at 12AM tonight for two hours, to grab your DROID (be it Motorola’s or HTC’s) and accessories for it.
On top of that it looks like the DROID invasion is going steady with unspecified Best Buy and Wal-mart stores already selling the Android slider, earlier than expected, today.

So basically that means if you’re in the market for Verizon’s key device for the year (and probably many years to come) you can either go for Best Buy and Wal-mart right now, wait till midnight if you’re in New York City or wake up early to be amongst the first to be in Big Red’s stores.
One way or another, you’ll manage to bring one home if you have the green!
