HTC Hero, the latest Andriod-powered smartphone coming from the Taiwanese manufacturer after the Dream and the Magic, has already been slated for a release with various carriers in Europe and the US with a rumored release date just in time for X-mas. What we didn’t know for sure was what kind of Android OS is in there, but HTC shredded the dust and announced that the Hero is going to run Android 2.0 Eclair.
Although the exact date is not yet known, their Twitter page says “The rumors are true! Hero will be getting an Eclair update. We ask for your patience as we update Sense for the fancy new Android OS.”
