Bold 9700 Launching on November 16th

Although expected to release on T-Mobile starting November 11th, our TFTS ninjas have found out that the already official BlackBerry Bold 9700 is going to be postponed and will launch on November 16th. The new Bold 9700 first made an appearance on the T-Mobile USA website last week as the carrier’s first 3G Blackberry to offer both voice over Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity.

Just like Chris names it, the Bold 9700 could be the hottest “old-fashioned” Berry of the year as it doesn’t sacrifice the full, real QWERTY keyboard in favor of a touchscreen. Under the hood there’s a 624MHz processor (not quite fast, eh?), 256MB flash memory and the BlackBerry OS 5.0. It packs a 2.44-inch HVGA+ display, an optical trackpad (instead of the old trackball), Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP/AVCRP, WiFi 802.11 b/g with UMA support and built-in GPS and A-GPS.

On top of things that will make you tick, there’s a 3.2 megapixel camera with digital zoom (2x), autofocus and LED flash, a 1500 mAh battery good for 6 hours of talk time and 17 days of standbyand a TeleNav GPS Navigator for turn-by-turn directions.

Price wise, the new BlackBerry Bold 9700 has been confirmed at $199 with a two year contract or $499 on a full retail price.
