Back in August, Lenovo promised to upgrade their IdeaPad S12 netbook when Windows 7 is out. Well, Microsoft’s best OS is now officially selling and roping in massive numbers so it was about time to get our hands on the 12-inch NVIDIA ION-powered mini laptop coming from the Lenovo stables, and since it’s now available for sale in the US, that makes the job easier.

Equipped with a 12.1-inch 1280 x 800 WXGA TFT display, the new Lenovo IdeaPad S12 packs a brilliant combination of faster graphics (NVIDIA ION 256MB)n, full Full HD 1080p output (HDMI) and power. Hence why under the sleek chassis there’s a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, up to 3GB of DDR2 RAM, up to 320GB HDD, Bluetooth 2.1 and Wi-Fi (b/g) connectivity. On top of these all, there’s also a 1.3 megapixel webcam, a 4-in-1 card reader, 3 x USB ports and a 6-cell battery.

Available in black, running Windows 7 Home Premium Edition and priced from $599, the new Lenovo IdeaPad S12 looks like a hot deal to go with.
