BlackBerry OS 5.0 Firmware for BlackBerry Storm 9530 Released

BlackBerry OS 5.0.0.328 Now Available via Verizon

Having posted only yesterday concerning the up and coming BlackBerry OS 5.0 firmware update where we advised that it should drop this week we can now confirm that Verizon have made BlackBerry OS 5.0 (specifically OS 5.0.0.328) available for their BlackBerry Storm 9530.

The new BlackBerry OS 5.0 Firmware should already have been flagged via your BlackBerry Desktop Manager (so if you have a Verizon Storm 9530 and you’ve not fired up your Desktop Manager now’s the time to hit it) as well as directly via this page and, aside from promising to address a number of stability issues experienced by end users, the new Firmware update also brings new flick-gestures to the device (specifically its browser) as well as a host of speed and usability enhancements.

We’d love to hear from you the moment you update, incidentally. Has this update addressed your concerns? Do let us know.
