TomTom GO I-90 In-Dash PND

TomTom have officially announced their latest, in-dah PNF, known as the TomTom GO I-90, which the company bill as being an ‘integrated navigation infotainment solution’ on account of it serving not only as a navigational aid but also boasting an integrated amplifier, AM/FM radio, RDS, a built in TMC receiver and, thanks to built-in USB connectivity, iPod (or other DAP/PMP) friendliness.

Capable of being fitted into any car, according to TomTom’s press release, the GO I-90 comes with pre-installed Western European mapping (specifically taking in Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxemburg, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and Vatican City) backed up by TomTom’s Map Share technology (allowing for map updates from the TomTom community), TomTom Safety Alerts, Enhanced Positioning Technology, Improved hands-free calling and, of course, address speech recognition and text-to-speech whilst also offering broad phone compatibility to allow for hands-free calling.

The TomTom GO I-90 In-Dash PND is set to become available via ‘specialist retailers throughout Europe’ from December with unit pricing coming in at just shy of €600 excluding optional installation cost.
