With Windows 7 just around the corner, it’s only natural that PC makers are upgrading their devices to run Microsoft’s latest OS — which by the way is due tomorrow. Lenovo is amongst those who’re putting an accent on digital entertainment and personal productivity with their new ThinkPad SL410 and ThinkPad SL510 notebooks, intended for the medium business.
Both the new ThinkPad SL410 and the SL510 boast crisp and clear 16:9 high definition LED backlit displays (14-inch for the SL410 and 15.6-inch for the SL510), feature Core 2 Duo processors under the hood, HDMI and VGA outputs to connect with your HDTV or HD monitor. They also come with a multitouch trackpad, 3G WWAN, WiFi connectivity, Ethernet and an optional Bluetooth if you need it.
With up to 8GB of RAM and up to 500GB of storage, integrated Intel X4500 graphics, a 2 megapixel camera, a spill resistant keyboard and a digital microphone for voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) calls, the new SL410 and the SL510 are available immediately with prices for the base models starting somewhere close to $529.

BestBuy is showing the SL410 today, for purchase tomorrow when Windows 7 launches. I’m thinking of grabbing one for $699. That’s more than your base price…any idea where else they are available?
