BlackBerry Bold 9700 Confirmed on T-Mobile USA

Bold 9700 Release Date is in Time for the Holidays

BlackBerry buffs with a T-Mobile contract should know that the US carrier has officially announced that the BlackBerry Bold 9700 is going to be released on their network, just in time for the holiday season. Yes, we know that doesn’t confirm the November 11 release date, but given the fact that it’s the first 3G Blackberry to be available on T-Mobile and the first BlackBerry to offer both voice over Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity, the demand is high and the two companies may have to put it on the market sooner than we expected.

As T-Mobile USA has it listed, the new BlackBerry Bold 9700 comes with both high-speed 3G Web browsing and Wi-Fi (a/b/g) calling. It adds TeleNav GPS Navigator for turn-by-turn directions, a 3.2 megapixel camera, a 624MHz processor and 256MB of flash memory under the hood. What they don’t show right now is that the Bold 9700 replaces the trackball with an optical trackpad that is meant to be more accurate and comes with a 480 x 360 resolution display.

When available in stores, the new BlackBerry Bold 9700 should cost just shy of $199.99 with a new 2-year contract.
