Vodafone Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 Release Date Confirmed

Having advised you previously that the Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 was set to land in Q4 (see: Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 Touchscreen Phone Price Confirmed [Xperia X2 Pricing Slipped by Sony Ericsson Exec]) we can now confirm that Vodafone UK are now listing the Xperia X2 as being available from November – though no specific actual date of release is detailed.

For those unacquainted with the Windows Mobile 6.5 touting 3G Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 touchscreen camera phone/smartphone, apart from boasting an 8.1 megapixel dual flash autofocus camera, the Xperia X2 comes with a 3.2” WVGA (800 x 480) 65k color OLED touchscreen display, integrated GPS (allowing the device to serve as a navigational aid as well as facilitating geo-tagging of imagery), an integrated media player supporting eAAC, MP3, WAV, WMA audio and H263, H264, MP4, WMV9, xVID video file formats and an inbuilt FM tuner whilst, in terms of connectivity, both WiFi and Bluetooth (v2.1 with A2DP) are in evidence.
At the time of writing Vodafone are not, unfortunately, detailing the price of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X2, however, interested parties can register of updates, which will include pricing, by offering up their email address via Vodafone’s new Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 page.
