Samsung i5700 Galaxy Lite Spica Release Date Closer [Android-based Samsung i5700 Hands-on Video]

Samsung i5700 Galaxy Lite Android Mobile

Although we expected the Android-based Samsung Galaxy Lite to be released this month, about a month ago we caught wind that the handset’s release date has been pushed back for 2010. Well now after we’ve seen the new Samsung i5700 Spica on video, it looks like it’s more or less confirmed for a debut next year, with exact date not yet known.

Just like its bigger brother the i7500, new i5700 Spica features a 3.0-inch WQVGA TFT AMOLED touchscreen display, Bluetooth, HSPDA and Wi-Fi connectivity. There’s a 528MHz Qualcomm MSM7200A processor under the hood to run the Android OS 1.5, an USB 2.0 port, an accelerometer, a 3.5mm audio jack and the Touchwiz UI. But you may wonder what makes it different from the i7500. Well, Samsung i5700 Spica adds a 3.2 mp flash-less camera and 100MB of internal memory — which is not that much if you ask us!

Check out the video below and get a glimpse of the new Samsung i5700 Galaxy Lite Spica. Doesn’t look bad from our shoes!
