Bang & Olufsen Announced the BeoVision 10 LED-Backlit HDTV

I know, I know, talking about an expensive Bang & Olufsen product during these economic times is probably not the best idea in the world right? But if Bang & Olufsen know how to do one thing, that’s to offer you an exquisite audio/video performance so they can just as well charge you for it.
The Danish company has announced a new LED-backlit HDTV, the BeoVision 10 and I’ll tell you from the very beginning that you’ll have to pay around $8,750 for it. Sure you’ll say you could either get a cheaper 40-inch HDTV or for the same amount of money you could end up with a bigger screen TV. Either way you’d still have some change left for dinner and a movie. And you wouldn’t be wrong!
But the BeoVision 10 still deserves our attention. It will strike us both in features and design as most Bang & Olufsen products do. The flat screen TV has been conceived to be wall mounted and it will definitely impress everyone that happens to pass through your living room. The artists from Bang & Olufsen have combined high-gloss polished aluminum, glass and the “completely black” screen to offer you an HDTV which will turn heads even when it’s not actually turned on.
Turning the BeoVision 10 on will reveal unique video and audio capabilities. In terms of features, this 40-inch beast will offer a white LED-backlit LCD panel, 200/240Hz technology, motion compensation technology, integrated surround sound, DVB-HD module, electronic curtains and support for the addition of up to five extra speakers. The HDTV comes with a two-way stereo loudspeaker system and a center bass. If that’s not enough for you, then you can always add the surround sound system you prefer. Sure you’d have to pay extra for the speaker system and I am sure that Bang & Olufsen will gladly sell you one of their own.
Now, when you’re done dreaming about it, you can always get the cheapest LED-backlit HDTV and postpone buying the real Bang & Olufsen HDTV until the economy comes back from the dead.
