As expected Apple has completely redesigned the white 13.3-inch white MacBook while keeping the same price. For $999 you will be able to get an unibody plastic MacBook which still packs a powerpunch under the hood. In case you love the aluminum versions then go ahead and get them although this 13.3-inch tiny beast looks better than ever and comes with a price worth taking advantage of right now.
The new chassis has been built exactly like the aluminum version but from plastic. The MacBook is just 1.08-inch thin and just 4.7-pound light. Besides the new plastic design the white MacBook also brings a new LED-backlit 13.3-inch LCD screen to the table and a glass multitouch trackpad. I know you are impressed and you should very well be. At this point getting an Apple MacBook white or a Mac Mini is the way to go if you want to purchase a cheap Apple computer. Microsoft must be crying in a corner as this laptop alone could prove to be a best seller soon enough and deliver a blow to Windows 7 laptops.
So let’s take a look at everything that sits nicely under that unibody white plastic hood:
- 13.3-inch widescreen LED-backlit 1280 x 800 glossy display
- 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 3MB shared L2 cache
- 1066 MHz front-side bus
