Why buy something that makes me pay for duplication? Or that sticks me with THEIR choice for those peripherals? Also important to note - the white MacBook has lost its FireWire port! This seems to be an error (even if time marches on, etc). I for one have 2 external, FW drives and a MINI-DV camcorder that needs a FW port (and an older CD-writer with FW). I am now in a dilemma. I thought I'd want a laptop -- but now what? Maybe just as well. The $800 Mini is faster than the MacBook and something like $600 cheaper and has more RAM, too.
