Active Media Predator X7 SSD Range Unveiled

Having only recently announced their new Aviator 312 SuperSpeed USB 3.0 SSDs Active Media have just officially unveiled their latest USB 2.0 SSD range in the form of the 2.5” Predator X7 SSD range which takes in 32GB, 64GB, 128GB and 256GB capacities.
The new Active Media Predator X7 SSD range, which come with 128MB SDRAM onboard caches, offer access times of 0.5ms as well as data transfer speeds of up to 230MB/s (sequential read) and up to 180MB/s (sequential write) speeds courtesy of their SATA-II interface, and are particularly noteworthy as they come complete with an 8-channel JM612 controller supporting a mini USB 2.0 port allowing end users to clone existing drives with ease – making the Predator X7 SSD’s particularly suited for upgrading current desktop/laptop setups.

Set to become available next month (November) the new Active Media Predator X7 SSDs will be offered as the 32GB S32G-25PX7, 64GB S64G-25PX7, 128GB S128G-25PX7 and 256GB S256G-25PX7 and will set you back around $145, $219, $349 and $699 respectively.
