Until a few weeks ago, the HTC Hero was my favorite Android phone out there. In the mean time we know that there at least three Android phones that promise to be a lot better than the Hero. These are the Acer Liquid A1, the HTC Dragon and the Motorola Droid.
On the other hand, none of these three new phones are here yet so getting an HTC Hero in the mean time sounds like a very good idea. So if you happen to live in the UK then you’ll be happy to know 3 UK is getting ready to bring the phone to its customers.
We don’t have the exact arrival dates so far but you can always check with 3’s customer service in order to find everything out. But we do have some prices for you. In case you’re willing to sign-up for a £35 (about $57) per month contract over the next 2-years then you’ll be able to walk out of a 3 store with a £99.99 (or about 162) Hero in your hand.
In case you choose such a plan then you’re also going to get a 2-year Spotify Premium subscription worth £240 (about $393) which should deliver all the music you want to your brand new HTC Hero Android phone. And you’ll also be able to use the unlimited music service on your computer for the same period of time. Here’s what you can expect from Spotify Premium:
- Virtually instant music streaming, with no advertising between tracks.
- Offline access to playlists that you’ve saved on your mobile or laptop. You don’t need a network connection to enjoy your music, so you can listen everywhere – even on the tube.
- Plus, exclusive access to pre-releases, concert ticket lotteries and VIP competitions.
Spotify is becoming more and more popular and we should see the service bundled with other mobile platforms. In fact, considering that 3’s owner, Hutchinson Whampoa, is also an investor in Spotify, we can assume that other future smartphones coming from 3 will be bundled with Spotify Premium subscription soon. What do you say folks? Anyone interested in this HTC Hero and Spotify Premium bundle?
