If our coverage of the new 12.4 megapixel Pentax K-x entry level DSLR was of interest to you but either you’re looking for something just a little bit more special, or you want to ensure you own a camera that’s seriously going to get you noticed (and we mean seriously), we suspect that the news that Pentax are to offer a limited edition, and especially colorful version of the K-x, paying homage to the Kore Ja Nai robot toy, may be particularly exciting news. But there is a catch (of course).

Set to release in Japan only, and additionally set to be restricted to just 100 models, the Kore Ja Nai inspired, limited edition Pentax K-x is set to retail at the equivalent of $876 (as at the time of writing) and, if you want to ensure you bag your K-x SE you’ll be able to pre-order it via Pentax Japan’s own online shop from November.

If you live outside Japan getting your hands on one of these is going to prove difficult, but as CrunchGear point out, importers such as the Japan Trend Shop or Geek Stuff 4U may just be able to help you out (if you ask nicely and flash the cash).
