Canon have, in the US at least (there’s no signs of it in the UK right now), released their new Canon Easy Photo-Print iPhone/iPod Touch app allowing iPhone/iPod Touch owners to print images via wireless connectivity on Canon’s PIXMA WiFi enabled printers.
The new 1.2MB Canon Easy Photo-Print application (known as iEPP) is billed as being ‘an ideal solution for consumers looking to print and share their photos’ and allows for the printing of images up to sizes of 8 1/2 x 11 and works specifically with Canon’s PIXMA MP990, MP640 and MP560 Wireless Photo All-in-One (AIO) printers.
“Canon continues to make the printing experience as seamless and easy as possible with the addition of new technologies such as the Canon Easy-Photo Print Application,” said Yuichi Ishizuka, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Consumer Imaging Group, Canon U.S.A. “This new technology enables users to print multiple images at one time while selecting varying sizes and paper types, making it easier than ever for consumers to print the images they want from their revolutionary iPhone or iPod touch.”
The Canon Easy Photo-Print iPhone/iPod Touch application is available now to US based users via iTunes but, as mentioned above, is not as yet available to UK users (why we don’t know).
